Significant changes in the strength and presence of nations has changed the world balance of power, but the Security Council remains the same as it did at the end of World War II. After a series of world events that push many members to the brink, UN resolution 377 from the year 1950 directs the responsibility back to the GA Plenary, and an emergency session is called. The purpose of this session is simple only in name: Reform the UN Security Council. Delegates will have to tackle all aspects of this problem, compromise, and get creative in their decision-making, or the United Nations system as we know it may not survive.
