FC Barcelona:

When you think of soccer, it won't take long for almost every person on the planet to think of FC Barcelona. When it comes to sports teams, there aren’t many, if any at all, more famous on the planet than Barca. Moreover, it's hard to argue there has been a more successful sports franchise than Barcelona in the 21st century. They have won 34 trophies in that span, more than their main rivals Real Madrid, and second to Bayern Munich in Europe. However, in the last few years Barca have taken a bit of a fall from grace. They have fallen into enormous financial problems, piling up levels of debt that has forced the club to gut their payroll salary by more than 60%, selling off key departments such as a large chunk of their media company, and having the greatest player of all time, Lionel Messi, walk for free. Although these measures have helped alleviate some issues, they are still in great financial peril. Additionally, these financial woes have strongly affected their play on the pitch as they have fallen behind Real Madrid in production and player quality. Now, the board is tasked with not only steadying the ship but finding a way to make Barcelona a top tier performing club as soon as possible. Will the board be able to succeed and bring back the glory days? Or will these longtime Giants continue to plummet.
