About:

Greetings Delegates!

My name is Max Banach, and I am a fourth year at the University of Florida double-majoring in Economics and Electrical Engineering. I have previously served as a chair for the America Inc. committee at GatorMUN XIX, co-director of the Transformers Joint Crisis at GatorMUN XX, co-director of the Goguryeo-Tang War Joint Crisis at GatorMUN XXI, as well as a delegate for all four years of my high school experience. I have been a part of the Model UN community for the past seven years having attended 30+ conferences, and this will be my eighth time staffing so far. In college, I was named UFMUN’s best crisis delegate during my freshman year earning me a spot on Best Delegate’s Collegiate All-Star team. I followed this up by serving on UFMUN’s Executive Board as a second year when I garnered the most total award points across all conferences attended. Outside of Model UN, I spend my time reading, exercising at the gym, playing cards, and playing video games.

This year, I’m excited to be co-directing with my life-long friend Brian in bringing to you a joint crisis committee (JCC) for the third year in a row - a format I have come to love and enjoy over the years. Along with that comes interactive crisis elements unique to JCCs, like cross-committee interactions, communications, and aggressions. This time period in history is ripe with unique individuals and events, and we hope to bring a fun experience to all those competing regardless of their level of knowledge. I wish you all luck in preparing for GatorMUN XXII, and I look forward to welcoming you in January!

Honorable Delegates,

It is my honor to welcome you all to the Elder Scrolls Joint Crisis Committee at the twenty-second session of GatorMUN. My name is Brian Zhang, and I am a Senior at Florida State University double majoring in Accounting and Finance (go Noles!). I’ve previously co-directed the last couple GatorMUN JCC's with my friend Max Banach. This year, once more, we will be co-directing this JCC and we couldn’t be more excited to see how you will face the challenges ahead.

Max and I have always adored the Elder Scrolls series and have went back and forth on how amazing it would be to bring that world into our passion for Model UN. We could not be more excited for you to join us in seeing how far we can go into this universe. We hope you will take time to carefully explore your position and your ambitions; using this opportunity to push the bounds of your expectations for a crisis committee. With an opposing side actively working against you, we want to see creativity in both your arcs but also in the conventions of a JCC. Ultimately, we hope you have as much fun competing as we’ve had preparing for this committee at GatorMUN XXII. Good luck delegates, the future of Skyrim and maybe the whole world is in your hands.

Godspeed,

Brian Zhang

Skyrim JCC 4e201

This JCC is an exploration into the Skyrim civil war during the Fourth Era of video game developer Bethesda Softworks’s fifth installment in the Elder Scrolls franchise - Skyrim - this committee will have delegates act as leaders, warriors, mages and mystiques within two primary factions: the Stormcloaks, led by Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak of Windhelm, and the Imperials, commanded by General Tullius. “The Rift Between Kings: Skyrim 4E201” explores the conflict sparked by the assassination of High King Torygg and the struggle for Skyrim’s sovereignty. Delegates must navigate complex military strategy, political intrigue, and esoteric resource management to curry influence and power in the northernmost province of Tamriel. Both sides’ decisions will shape not only the future of Skyrim, but the Empire overall, determining whether the Third Empire continues its backslide after the Great War.
