Welcome to the festival! Coachella 30XX finds itself at a turning point. Set in a distant cyberpunk future, Coachella exists at the intersection of extreme technological advancement and cultural preservation. In a world defined by neon megacities, sprawling corporate influence and hyperconnected global entertainment networks, the festival remains as one of the last cultural institutions of its kind. Advanced cyborg technologies have also reshaped society itself, allowing culturally significant figures to extend their presence far beyond a traditional lifetime. As a result, legacy artists continue to influence evolving music scenes, often blurring the boundaries between past and present performance culture. As members of the Board, delegates will oversee the planning and execution of Coachella in a new era where music and technology have taken entirely new dimensions. Delegates must navigate logistical challenges, financial pressures, artist demands and shifting public perception, all while contending with a society where legacy can quite literally outlive its creator.

Committee Description:

Vasundara Muralidharan is a Second Year Finance major with plans to minor in Computer Science at the University of Florida. She is from Orlando, Florida and has competed in Model UN for five years across high school and collegiate circuits, including chairing GatorMUN XXIII and currently serving as the Undersecretary general of Crisis for SUNMUN V. In her free time, she enjoys reading, keeping up with F1 and watching niche international movies to rate on letterboxd. Whether she is immersing herself in the indie music scene at Gainesville or attending concerts of her favorite artists, Vasu enjoys music in every way shape and form. She especially loves the unique sense of community and creativity that music festivals foster, whether through unforgettable performances, artistic expression, or shared experiences. Vasu hopes to share her passion for music and festival culture with her committee and have a terrific weekend in Gainesville!
