Flint Tropics

Directed By: Gonzi Palenzuela

About:
Basketball is entering a new era: Superstars, Coast to Coast Rivalries, and showstoppingmoves that will bring millions of new fans to the sport, but according to league officials, we are not a part of that future. The Flint Tropics are a scrappy small-town basketball team led by eccentric owners, who are about to be cut out of the ABA-NBA merger; however, with the passion of the team, management, and local community, the Flint Tropics can survive the merger and make it to the NBA. This new premier basketball league has increased attendance quotas, market sizes, and other measures in place to ensure it is a competitive, high-octane environment with each game having sold-out attendance, which the Tropics at the moment does not have. This is made especially worse when the goalposts are constantly moved by the commissioner as the merger gets complicated by outside forces and internal player issues. Help this team win basketball games, fill seats, and negotiate with executives during the 1970s’ biggest sports deal.
