Path to 14 Hearts: The Pelican Town Council

Directed By: Kurt McCarthy

About:

It is Spring 1, and another year has begun in Stardew Valley. Yet this year, Pelican Town does not feel renewed. A brutal drought has left the Farmer’s crops struggling, the rivers running low, and the fields around town dry before the first harvest can even begin. At the center of town, the Community Center still lies abandoned, while Pierre’s General Store loses ground to JojaMart and residents begin to lose faith in the Valley’s future.

Mayor Lewis has called upon the residents of Pelican Town to form a council and confront the growing crisis. Delegates will be tasked with restoring morale, completing Community Center bundles, responding to villager requests, and deciding whether Pelican Town can survive through cooperation or fall to Joja’s promise of easy progress. From the mines and the beach to Marnie’s Ranch, the Stardrop Saloon, and the strange magic hidden in the Valley, every decision will shape the heart and future of the town.

Committee Description:

Kurt is a junior at FIU’s Honors College majoring in International Relations and is one of the most unique and energetic people on FIU’s Model United Nations Team. He currently lives in South Florida, but before that, he spent his childhood living all along the East Coast. Out of all the places he has lived, Buffalo, New York remains his favorite — Go Bills! When he is not studying, competing, or working on MUN, Kurt enjoys hanging out with friends, taking walks, going to the beach, watching reality TV, and playing cozy games.

Outside of MUN, Kurt serves as the Vice President of BRIDGE FIU, where he works to build inclusivity across campus, strengthen student voices, and help create better debaters and leaders for tomorrow. He is super excited to serve as your Director for this committee and cannot wait to see how delegates shape the future of Pelican Town. Whether you choose to restore the Community Center, protect the town’s heart, or let Joja take over, Kurt hopes you are ready for a committee full of chaos, community, and junimos!
