Divided by Beliefs: Pokémon Legends Victini

Directed By: Joseph Starr

About Joe:
Long ago, people in the ancient region known as ‘Aweni’ lived unrecognizably from how they do today in what is now called Unova. Pokémon were feared en masse, industrialized towns and cities were nonexistent, but strangest of all were the two kings who ruled the land. With the power of their powerful dragon pokemon who no one seems to know much about, these kings were able to control the entire region. Historians have long wondered how every day life went for them and what politics looked like, and now they have a chance to find out. Delegates will take the role of prominent current day figures and be thrown back in time to ancient Aweni, with the goal of either getting back to the present or learning to live in their new time period. Many challenges will need to be dealt with, including fighting the wild pokemon, expanding the current settlement, and worst of all, staying out of trouble with the kings. Rumor has it they are currently fighting over how they want to run the land, so strangers who fell out of the sky are not going to help calm the rising conflict. This committee will require quick thinking, diplomatic relationships, and above all else, seeing who is the very best like no one ever was.
Committee Description:
Joseph ‘Joe’ Starr (he/him) is a third year biomedical engineering major with a minor in biomolecular engineering. Joe joined MUN in his freshman year having never heard of the club before, and fell in love with it immediately. Prior to GatorMUN, he has been crisis coordinator for committees in GatorMUN XXIII and SunMUN IV, been part of the member development team, and has generally enjoyed letting MUN take over a significant portion of his life. Outside of MUN, Joe enjoys researching at the musculoskeletal biomechanics lab, as well as playing Pokemon (obviously) and watching youtube. Excited to see you all in Gainesville!
