Vault-Tec Board of Directors: Securing Tomorrow

In this committee, delegates will represent various executives, shareholders, investors, and other important figures who make up the Vault-Tec corporation’s board of directors. The committee will take place in the late 2050s. In the year 2054, the resource wars had been raging for two years between the European Commonwealth and various middle eastern countries over control of oil production. With the exchange of small scale nuclear warheads in the conflict, the United States government created Project Safehouse, which planned for the creation of over one hundred nuclear fallout shelters, known as vaults, all across the country. However, secretly these vaults were used to conduct horrific social and scientific experiments on their dwellers, with the exception of a number of control vaults. As the board of directors of the corporation, delegates will have to balance corporate, government, and potential Enclave interests, while also juggling and debating the ethics and reasoning for what they are doing, if they even want to do it. All the while, the world around them is escalating further and further. With global oil prices skyrocketing and resources at an all time low, the world is a powderkeg just waiting to blow.

NOTE: Due to this part of the lore kept intentionally mysterious by the game developers, some creative liberties will be taken with things in regards to the timeline of everything, what age a character is, and whether or not they hold the role they do at that specific time.

Committee Description:

Hi! My name is Rohit Paranjape and I’m a sophomore Aerospace Engineering major with a minor in Materials Science and Engineering here at the University of Florida. I’m originally from Tampa, Florida, and I have been involved in Model UN since my freshman year of high school, where I competed in Gatormun XIX, which was my first ever conference. Within UF MUN, I serve as the chief of staff for our collegiate conference, SunMUN, travel nationally to compete at the collegiate level, and this will be my first time directing at GatorMUN! Outside of Model UN, I’m also involved in Engineering Ambassadors, the Freshman Leadership Engineering Group, and the Independent Florida Alligator newspaper, where I make their online mini crosswords (which makes for a good go-to fun fact), and other organizations and involvements. In my free time I enjoy solving crossword puzzles (duh), listening to music, hiking, watching the bucs lose football games, scrolling instagram reels and tiktok, and trivia! Fallout has been one of my favorite video game franchises ever since I played Fallout 4 (minutemen is the best ending), and I am so excited to be your director as we explore this fascinating part of the series’ lore. Can’t wait to see everyone!
